Refrasil Cloths

When it comes to high temperature fabric, there’s typically a trade-off between mechanical strength and temperature rating.

Fibreglass is strong, yet limited to about 550°C. Ceramic withstands far higher temperatures, but is limited in strength. Refrasil premium grade  Silica cloths bridge this divide.

The full range of Refrasil Cloths includes a number of distinct grades  that each offer their own collection of benefits.

The UC100 series is the standard grade and provides exceptional  insulation performance in environments up to 982°C. AR100 is an abrasion resistant variant on this.

For higher temperatures, we are also proud to offer our Irish Refrasil. This premium grade cloth is pre-shrunk and insulates up to 1260°C.

All  of these incredibly effective, long lasting insulation materials are available in a selection of sizes and can be bought by the roll, in cut  lengths or in a whole range of custom fabricated parts.
