Fibreglass Cloths

Fibreglass Cloths make excellent thermal insulation materials thanks to their combination of high temperature resistance, relative low cost and huge range of styles and types. Fibreglass insulation has been used for decades in industrial applications as pipe lagging and for high temperature gaskets as well as countless other applications.

By combining low thermal conductivity with excellent physical properties, fibreglass cloths make a particularly appealing option when you need to insulate an application with temperatures up to 550°C. Some cloth constructions will go above that but, generally speaking, that’s about where insulation performance starts to suffer (melting point of fibreglass cloth is actually quite a bit higher).
