Available in a number of thicknesses, this specialised grade insulation material is comprised of a woven fibreglass cloth with an aluminium foil laminate on one side of the material. Aluminium Foil Faced Fibreglass Cloth is resistant to most chemicals and is used for high temperature insulation and protection from petroleum products, hot liquids and light metal splash.

The fibreglass cloth which forms the basis of our aluminium foil faced fibreglass cloth is capable of continuous service in temperatures reaching as high as 595ºC whilst the aluminium foil is limited to 260ºC.

Typical applications for this specialised grade of thermal insulation cloth include the fabrication of curtains, welding blankets, lagging cloths, and vapour and flange spray shields that require reflectivity. Quite often, this cloth is also combined with other thermal materials to serve as an outer protective layer for a thicker, softer, high temperature insulator.

AG’s experienced sewing team are well versed in the many different ways this material can be fastened to other insulation materials and stand ready to assist in producing the custom insulation component your application requires.

Available Sizes

Standard thicknesses for our Aluminium Foil Faced Fibreglass Cloth are 0.8mm and 1.6mm with others also available upon request. This specialised thermal insulation material is available by the metre, roll or in custom cut components to match your application.
