Marigold 921G Packing is a highly economical packing which offers very low friction. This grade is very similar to our Marigold 921.  The primary difference between the two grades is the additional surface layer of graphite applied to 921G’s to further reduce friction. Otherwise, Marigold 921G is made from the same mix of long lasting flax and ramie fibres as Marigold 921 and is impregnated with the same tallow and wax lubricant.

Like Marigold 921, 921G compression packing is also used in marine applications as well as by the paper & pulp and wastewater industries.

Marigold 921G is utilised in applications where temperatures reach 105ºC and with shaft speeds of 5 MPS or pressures of 10 BAR. It is used only in fairly neutral chemical environments (5-9 pH) but does offers excellent resistance to cold water, sea water and cold oils.

Available Sizes

Marigold 921G is available from AG in sizes ranging from 3.2mm² to 25.4mm². In addition to these, AG will be happy to provide this material in preformed packing ring form to reduce installation time on repeat jobs.
