Poroband 0410 VPI Tape is a highly porous mica tape manufactured from a specialised grade of uncalcined mica paper that is bonded to a glass cloth carrier with a small amount of epoxy resin.  0410 does not contain any accelerator or hardener making it well suited for use in applications where the impregnating resin contains an accelerator.

Poroband 0410 is typically used for the insulation of coils and bars in low and high voltage machines as well as an interlayer material in dry transformers where a vacuum pressure impregnation method is employed.

This highly porous material allows for quick and effective penetration of resin through numerous layers which in turn leads to the mechanical and electrical properties of this tape being largely determined by the impregnating resin employed.

AG carries Poroband 0410 VPI Tape in 20mm and 25mm wide rolls (that are 50mtrs long) as standard. Custom width rolls can also be produced upon request.
