MicaSeal High Temperature Gasket Sheet

MicaSeal High Temperature Gasket Sheet

An asbestos free, phlogopite mica-based sealing material designed to withstand the most extreme high temperature conditions up to 900ºC.

MicaSeal High Temperature Gasket Sheet is an asbestos free, phlogopite mica-based sealing material designed to withstand the most extreme high temperature conditions. It is the gasket material of choice when sealing hot, dry gases and can be used in environments that reach up to 900°C. The combination of high-purity mica, when reinforced with perforated stainless steel allows this material to remain mechanically stable and provide a high performance sealing that is designed to last.

MicaSeal has been used effectively in turbochargers, exhaust manifolds, turbines, air and heat exchanges and many other applications that run at elevated temperatures. Manufactured from non-combustible materials, this gasket sheet wont give off any toxic fumes when exposed to heat. It also exhibits good chemical compatibility, allowing it to be used in applications where aggressive acids, bases, solvents or oils may be present. The high compressive strength and resistance to aging make MicaSeal sheet extremely durable, reducing the need for frequent replacments and maintenance.
