Gylon 3500 Gasket Material (also known as Fawn Gylon®) is a premium grade gasket material manufactured using a Garlock® proprietary process whereby fluorocarbon particles are restructured and combined with inert fillers to produce a gasket material superior to virgin PTFE or filled PTFE. Fawn in colour with black text branding, this material meets the requirements of a range of international specifications and will not support flame or bacterial growth.
This high performance grade of gasket material is typically used in applications with aggressive chemicals. It will resist attack from strong acids (except hydrofluoric), chlorine, cryogenics, hydrocarbons, solvents, water and steam. It has an anti-stick surface and is not degraded by sunlight or weathering whilst also featuring good abrasion resistance.
Gylon 3500 Filled PTFE is a high performance gasket material capable of sealing in demanding environments.
Maximum Temperature resistance is 260°C. Maximum pressure is 83 bar (1,200 psi). It has been tested and approved by numerous international organisations including the US FDA and ABS. It is also REACH & RoHS Compliant.
Available Sizes
AG offers this Gylon 3500 gasket material in 0.8mm, 1.5mm and 3mm thick sizes as standard. Standard sheet size is 1500mm² though this material is (whilst available in sheet form) most often supplied in cut gaskets which can be produced to suit either standard flange dimensions or in custom sizes based on your dimension list, drawing or samples. Larger sheets are also available for some thicknesses.
