Calmicaflex 3148 is a high quality, highly flexible insulation material used in high voltage electrical insulation applications. Manufactured from a combination of impregnated mica paper that is coated on both sides with a PET film, one side of Calmicaflex 3148 is also coated with a special adhesive that aids in application.
This thermosetting mica tape exhibits excellent dielectric strength and still shows some flexibility even after curing. This allows Calmicaflex 3148 to cope with some movement in an insulated object without compromising the insulation barrier.
Calmicaflex 3148 is typically used for the insulation of coils in both high and low voltage machines as well as for the insulation of copper conductors and connections.
