Marigold 344BIL Packing is a low friction packing manufactured from 100% pure PTFE filament that has been thoroughly impregnated with a PTFE suspensoidal blocking agent and a proprietary break in lubricant.

This soft but dense compression packing is easily conformable and offers very low friction during both start-up and operation. Commonly used in valve applications, Marigold 344BIL Packing is particularly well suited to environments that require a low friction packing capable of withstanding attack from chemicals anywhere on the 0-14 pH scale.

A variant on our Marigold 344, Marigold 344BIL Packing is also utilised in temperatures up to 260ºC with a pressure rating of up to 20 BAR. The presence of the break-in lubricant in 344BIL does allow this grade (and 344BIL-SC) to withstand higher shaft speeds than the pure PTFE Marigold 344 (8 MPS compared to 5 MPS).

Marigold 344BIL Packing is available from AG in standard sizes ranging from 3.2mm² to 25.4mm², though special sizes and custom sized packing rings can also be produced upon request.
