Marigold 344-SC Packing is a specialised grade of packing typically used in pump sealing applications. This long lasting, low friction packing is produced from a combination of pure PTFE filaments which have been thoroughly impregnated with a PTFE suspensoidal blocking agent and interlock braided around a solid silicone core. The silicone core serves to increase compression recovery and assist with accounting for shaft deflection to ensure a tight, long lasting seal.

Marigold 344-SC Packing is typically used in chemical applications (where it will withstand 0-14 pH) with worn or bent shafts. This packing has an extremely low coefficient of friction and excellent heat dispersion in temperatures ranging up to 260ºC.

Available Sizes

AG offers Marigold 344-SC in standard sizes ranging from 3.2mm² to 25.4mm² with other sizes available upon request. This high quality packing it usually offered in 8mtr lengths but can be supplied in shorter, pre-cut section to minimise wastage or larger spools for cutting on site if preferred.

Complementing this specialised grade, AG also offers four other grades of Marigold 344 based packing. These include the standard Marigold 344 itself, 344BIL-SC (similar to 344-SC but with an additional break in lubricant for less friction during start up), 344BIL (break in lubricant but no silicone core) and Marigold 344FDA (utilised in chemical-rich food environments).
