AG’s Heat Shrink Sleeving is a highly economical insulation sleeving which offers good all-round performance and reliability. Featuring a 2:1 shrink ratio (10mm ID sleeve will shrink to 5mm when exposed to heat), SCG Heat Shrink is available in a wide range of colours (Black, White, Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, Green/Yelow Striped and Clear as standard, more available on request). This highly versatile sleeving is widely stocked by AG and can be supplied in either bulk roll form, boxes of pre-cut lengths (standard is 1.2mtr) or in handy dispenser boxes.
Typically used in lower voltage electrical and electronic applications, SCG Thin Wall Heat Shrink Sleeving is often employed for wire harnessing and for the protection of in-line components and the bundling or cables and wires. It is also used as strain relief for electrical wire connections or as bus-bar insulation on switchgear. The wide range of available colours also allows SCG sleeving to assist with the colour coding or cables, wiring, terminals and components.
SCG Heat Shrink Sleeving has a thin wall construction (exact wall thickness varies according to size) which allows for high conformability and ease of handling. It is capable of service applications where temperatures range from -55ºC to 125ºC and is UV stabilised, flame retarded and self-extinguishing. SCG Heat Shrink Sleeving also displays good resistance to copper corrosion, fungus and a wide range of chemicals whilst meeting ROHS compliance standards.
