SD550 Sleeving is a high quality electrical insulation sleeving. It is manufactured from continuous glass braided sleeve with a solid and smooth silicone elastomer coating. Utilised in applications with elevated temperatures (up to 180ºC, short-term to 250ºC) SD550 Sleeving is available in a wide range of colours and sizes and meets the requirements of several international standards.

Highly flexible with a high dielectric strength, this UL approved sleeving is constructed from self-extinguishing materials and is used in a range of demanding applications. These include the insulation of major conductors, as well as serving as added protection for glass insulated conductors. In addition, the high flexibility of this sleeving enables it to be used for the insulation of carbon brushes and flexible leads. SD550 sleeving is also halogen free, watertight and displays good resistance to UV and good compatibility with impregnation varnishes.

Available Sizes

SD550 Sleeving is available from AG in sizes ranging from 2mm Ø to 25mm Ø as standard. Roll lengths can vary depending on bore size but are typically either 100mtrs or 50mtrs long. Black is the most common colour but others are available upon request. For an electrical sleeving with similar properties, we also recommend looking at our 15C4 electrical sleeving.
