Calmicaflex SI 2726 is a specialised grade of insulating tape produced specifically for high temperature applications. 2726 consists of mica paper which contains aramid fibre and has been impregnated with a silicone resin. It also utilises a glass cloth carrier.
Calmicaflex SI 2726 End Winding Insulation Tape offers good flexibility coupled with very high thermal stability and the ability to remain flexible after heat treatment. It is used in conjunction with solvent-free silicone impregnating resins for end winding insulation on high voltage machines with an operating temperature classification of 180ºC. It is also used for conductor and main insulation of rotor windings or the insulation of pole coils and connections in traction motors operating at 200ºC.
