Weicon Urethane 80

Weicon Urethane 80 is a harder grade in the Weicon Urethane range which, once cured, will have a final hardness of 80 Shore A.

This two part compound can be used to make moulded parts, rubber-like protective coatings and more.

Available from AG in 500gm Kits.

Weicon Urethane 80 is the high hardness grade in the Weicon Urethane range which, once cured, will have a final hardness of 80 Shore A. Like the rest of the range, Weicon Urethane 80 is a 2 part liquid polyurethane that cures at room temperature to form a tough, rubber-like material that adhesives to a variety of materials (such as metal, concrete, wood, fibreglass and many more).

Because of their low sensitivity to humidity, Weicon Urethanes are also used for creating thin layered coatings that have outstanding tensile and tear strength. They can also be used as flexible coatings in conjunction with Weicon Plastic Metal systems.

Weicon Urethane 80 has a 10:5 mix ratio a pot life of (at 20ºC) of 20 minutes (minimum). This high quality product reaches 50% of final strength after about 12 hours and is fully cured after approximately 24 hours (both based on curing at 20ºC). Once cured, Weicon Urethane 80 is dark-brown in colour, exhibits excellent tensile strength (8.5 MPa according to ISO 37) and resists temperatures ranging from -60ºC to 90ºC.

Weicon Urethane 80 is available in 500gm kits as standard with other, special sizes available upon request.

Because of their flexibility, ability to be shaped and long lasting performance Weicon Urethanes are used in a vast array of different applications. These include:
