Weicon Plastic Metal C is a liquid, high temperature grade of plastic metal designed for demanding industrial applications. This grade is non-corroding, anti-magnetic and cures with almost zero shrinkage.
Manufactured from aluminium filled epoxy resin, Weicon Plastic Metal Weidling C is grey in colour and can be applied in layers up to 60mm thick.
- Typical applications for this grade of plastic metal include:
- Pouring our moulds (e.g. vacuum and foam moulds).
The manufacture or repair of fixing devices and tools which are exposed to high temperatures.
Once pre-cured at room temperature and post-cured at 120ºC, Weicon Plastic Metal Weidling C has withstands temperatures between -35ºC and 220ºC. More information on this process is available on the TDS for this product.
Once fully cured, Weicon Plastic Metal Weidling C exhibits excellent compressive strength (140 MPa in DIN 53281-83 tests) and tensile strength (mean result of 25 MPa in DIN 53281-83 tests). Final hardness is 90 Shore D (DIN 53281-83).
Available Sizes
Weicon Plastic Metal Weidling C is available in two sizes from Associated Gaskets; 0.5kg or 2kg kits. These kits have been manufactured so that they contain the exact proportions of hardener and resin needed to a successful cure which makes use as simple as combine, mix thoroughly and apply.
