Weicon Fast-Metal Minute Adhesive

A premium quality epoxy adhesive made from steel filled epoxy resin that has a pasty consistency that allows it to be applied to vertical surfaces.

Especially useful for high-temperature applications, it is ideal for filling large gaps and cracks in a variety of different materials.

It also possesses a high adhesive strength and can be machined, filled or drilled after full cure.

A premium quality epoxy adhesive made from steel filled epoxy resin. This cold curing adhesive is solvent free and has a pasty consistency that allows it to be applied to vertical as well as horizontal surfaces and is especially useful for high-temperature applications (up to 145ºC)

Weicon Fast-Metal Minute Adhesive is ideal for filling large gaps, cracks, bubbles and uneven surfaces and is supplied in an easy to use double syringe pack that ensures the correct mixing ratio (1:1) is dispensed.

Key Features
  • Pasty consistency for gap filling
  • High temperature resistance (-50ºC to 145ºC)
  • Very short pot life (3-4 minutes)
  • Fast curing
  • High adhesive strength
  • Can be machined (e.g. grinding, filing, drilled) after cure
  • Dark grey in colour

This premium quality adhesive achieves handling strength (35% of final) after about 40 minutes, mechanical strength (50% of final) after about 2 hours and will be fully cured in around 24 hours (all based on 20ºC conditions).

Weicon Fast-Metal Minute Adhesive is used for covering gaps between 0.2mm and 4mm and, once cured, has a hardness of approximately 70 Shore D.

Available Sizes

Weicon Fast-Metal Minute Adhesive is available from Associated Gaskets in 24ml double syringe packs. Each pack is supplied with one Quadro Mixing Nozzle though extras are also available from AG.

Pre-Treatment of Surface

To ensure good adhesion and a long lasting bond, the surfaces being adhered to must be clean and dry (Weicon Cleaner S or Plastic Cleaner may be suitable for cleaning and degreasing these). Smooth surfaces should be roughened where possible.

Weicon Fast-Metal Minute Adhesive should be applied to just one of the surfaces being bonded. The pot life given for this adhesive is for 10ml at a room temperature of 20ºC. If larger quantities are used, the curing time will be faster due to the reaction epoxy resins have with heat. Similarly, higher ambient temperatures will shorten the cure time (a rule of thumb here is that every addition 10ºC increase above room temperature will halve working and cure times).

It is always suggested that users familiarise themselves with the correct Safety Data Sheet before using Weicon Fast-Metal Minute Adhesive.
