Voltaflex GK 2797 is a very flexible, high voltage insulation material manufactured by Isovolta. A specialised grade of high voltage electrical insulation, Voltaflex GK 2797 is designed to offer both the high dielectric strength of polyimide and the strength and impregnability of fibreglass cloth.

This high quality product is composed of a combination of polyimide film which is covered on one side with a glass cloth. The layers are bonded using and high temperature resistant, acid free adhesive. The final material has excellent mechanical and electrical properties and can be used as slot and phase insulation or interlayer insulation in low voltage motors or transformers exposed to high thermal stress.

Voltaflex GK 2797 has a thermal classification of 180ºC when tested according to the rigorous requirements of IEC 216.

Available Sizes & Forms

Voltaflex GK 2797 is available from AG in 0.07mm thick. The material is stocked in roll form measuring 980mm wide x 50mtrs long but is usually supplied either by the metre, converted to slit tapes, or in custom component form.
