Sealon Expanded PTFE Joint Sealant is a convenient, versatile and easy to install alternative to many cut-to-size gaskets. This gasket tape is very easy to shape and handle and is supplied with a peel-off adhesive backing to allow for easy application to vertical flanges. Produced from pure, compressible PTFE, Sealon can be used for sealing at low bolt loads, in high temperatures and has outstanding chemical resistance and compatibility with a range of mediums.
Produced from pure PTFE, Sealon Expanded PTFE Joint Sealant exhibits truly excellent resistance to almost all chemicals (with the exception of elemental fluorine and molten alkali metals). In addition, this quality product is DVGM rated (No. G 88e 050) for use with gas, meets BAM requirements (No. 13621/87 4-4625) for oxygen service (should be ordered without adhesive backing) and complies with FDA requirements for food service.
Sealon Expanded PTFE Joint Sealant is used in applications with temperatures between -232ºC and +315ºC.
This highly versatile product is used for sealing all kinds of flanges, connections and lids. As one size of Sealon can be used to seal a variety of different flange sizes, Sealon is a good choice for field work and other situations where you might not know you’re going to need a new gasket until you get the assembly open.
Once you’ve selected the correct size, application is as simple as positioning Sealon around the flange and overlapping the two ends out towards a bolt hole.

Sealon Expanded PTFE Joint Sealant is available from AG in a variety of different tape sizes. In addition to these standard sizes in the oval profile, AG can also provide other shaped sections (e.g. round, V-shape or square) and other density PTFE gasket tapes when required.
