Weicon DF 175 is a patented, high quality Thread Sealing Cord made from 100% PTFE. This highly economical product creates a PTFE film during the screwing process that seals almost all metal and plastic threads permanently and safely whilst simultaneously exhibiting outstanding chemical resistance to even the most aggressive of chemical agents.

In contrast to other sealing materials where the fabric is just a carrier for the actual sealing element, 100% of Weicon Thread Sealing Cord DF 175 is a sealant. As a result the potential for separation of the carrier and sealing materials is eliminated and service life is extended.

Used in applications where temperatures range from -200ºC to 240ºC, Weicon Thread Sealing Cord DF 175 is employed in drinking and potable water applications. It is also used in connections exposed to oxygen, butane, propane and many more gaseous liquids.

Weicon Thread Sealing Cord allows for the unscrewing of a sealed connection by up to 45ºC without compromising the seal. This ensures that even with flexing over a long service life, Weicon Thread Sealing Cord continues to perform.

This revolutionary product is not only high in quality but extremely economical to use. One 175gm pack can replace up to 20 rolls of standard (12mm x 0.1mm x 12mtr) PTFE tape.
