RTV 100 Series Silicone is a acetoxy cure, one-part silicone that cure to a tough, durable, resilient silicone rubber. These versatile sealants are standard strength products with a paste like consistency that allows them to be applied to vertical and overhead surfaces where pourable or self-levelling products are not practical.
RTV 100 Series Silicone will cure at room temperature and ambient humidity and display good low temperature flexibility (can be used down to -60ºC) and high temperature performance (up to 205ºC). This grade also possesses excellent weatherability, ozone and chemical resistance and high electrical insulation strength.
AG offers our range of RTV 100 Series Silicones in Clear, White, Black or Aluminium Grey colours and either 83ml tubes, 19lt pails or the standard 300ml cartridge. These high quality products are FDA, USDA and NSF approved, UL Recognised and meet the requirements of MIL-A-46106 Gr.1 Type I.
RTV 100 Series Silicones are often used for sealing windows in oven doors, sealing flues on gas appliances, bonding steel, stainless steel, glass or ceramic surfaces and bonding and sealing appliance parts. They are also used for making formed in place gaskets for gear boxes and pumps.
For even higher temperature applications, the similar RTV 106 (rated to 260ºC) is suggested. For more information on the silicones available in AG’s comprehensive range, please do contact your local AG branch.
