RTV 106 Hi-Temp Silicone

Possesses high temperature and dielectric strength which allows it to be used in general and electrical applications.

This highly versatile adhesive sealant has a paste like consistency which allows it to be applied to both vertical and overhead surfaces.

RTV 106 Hi-Temp Silicone is a acetoxy (acetic) cure, one-part silicone that cures into a tough, durable, resilient silicone rubber. Capable of withstanding temperatures from -60ºC to 260ºC (short term to 315ºC), this highly versatile adhesive sealant has a paste like consistency which allows it to be applied to both vertical and overhead surfaces.

RTV 106 will cure at room temperature in ambient humidity and offers excellent resistance to weather, ozone and a range of chemicals. This versatile range of benefits is coupled with high dielectric strength which allows it to be used in high temperature electrical applications.

AG offers RTV 106 silicone in 90gm tubes, 20kg pails and in the commonly utilised 321gm cartridges. This high quality product is FDA, USDA and NSD approved and meets the requirements of MIL-A-46106 type I.

Because of its ability to withstand extreme temperatures, RTV 106 Hi-Temp Silicone is often used for applications like sealing and bonding heating elements, repairing cracks and seams in high temperature ovens and for aerospace gasketing and sealing high temperature flange joints. AG also employs this silicone in house for assistance in bonding multi-layered silicone rubber components which need to be able to handle temperatures over 200ºC.

For a flowable version of this silicone, RTV 116 may be of interest. For more information on the full range of industrial silicone adhesive sealants available from AG, please contact your local AG branch.
