AG stocks Nitrile rubber in an enormous range of colours, sizes, hardnesses and grades. This versatile sealing material is commonly used in applications where it is expected to seal oils, fuels or hydrocarbons as it displays excellent resistance to all. Nitrile rubber also possess generally good mechanical properties (such as abrasion resistance and tensile strength) and good ageing characteristics.
Nitrile Rubber, also known a Nitrile Butadiene Rubber or NBR, is typically used in applications where temperatures fall between -30ºC and 120ºC. It has limited resistance to polar liquids such as ketones, ethers or amines and is not recommended for use with concentrated acids. Nitrile also has poor resistance to ozone.
AG stocks Nitrile Rubber in a range of different forms. These include our standard, commercial grade Nitrile rubber which has a hardness of 60 Duro (Shore A), and is typically on 1200mm wide rolls. Standard thicknesses begin at 0.8mm and range up to 9.5mm, though others are available upon request.
In addition to this, AG also offers a variety of more specialised forms of Nitrile rubber. These include our White FDA Nitrile which is often used in food applications, our premium grade nitrile which offers greater mechanical strength, and both softer and harder grades of commercial nitrile.
By utilising our extensive fabrication facilities, AG is also able to offer fully customised finished solutions in all styles of our Nitrile Rubber. Whether you require standard table gaskets, customised expansion joints, slit nitrile rubber rolls, or fully moulded O rings, we’ve got the expertise, stock and ability to produce exactly what you need.
