Marigold 8500 Packing is braided from carbon filament impregnated with PTFE and graphite. This self-lubricating interlock braided compression packing is easy to cut and install yet dense and long lasting. The proprietary lubricant used in its construction allows for reduced shaft wear whilst still maintaining excellent shaft to packing contact and reliable performance in applications where a highly abrasion resistant. high speed packing is required.
Utilised in both pump and valve applications, Marigold 8500 Packing has a shaft speed rating of 20 MPS and a pressure rating of 20 BAR. It will withstand attack from chemicals across the entire 0-14 pH scale and can be used with temperatures up to 649°C in steam and 455°C in air.
