Marigold 5000I Packing is a specialised, premium quality packing designed for extremely high temperature and pressure valve sealing applications. Plait braided from high purity flexible graphite and reinforced with Inconel® wire, Marigold 5000I Packing is used in air applications with temperatures up to 455ºC, steam to 649ºC and in non-oxidising atmospheres up to 1100ºC.

The highly specialised densification and reinforcement processes used to produce Marigold 5000I result in it meeting API 589-607 fire test standards whilst the proprietary graphite surface coating mixture allows it to reduce stem friction. In addition, this quality braided packing exhibits excellent heat dissipation and extrusion resistance.

Marigold 5000I Packing is used in applications with chemicals across the full 0-14 pH scale and in valves where pressures are as high as 310 BAR. It is particularly suited to critical service applications that are subject to demanding fire test and fugitive emission controls.

Available Sizes

AG offers Marigold 5000I Packing in standard sizes ranging from 3.2mm² to 25.4mm² and can also produce custom sizes upon request. Though usually supplied in 8mtr lengths, this packing can also be supplied in custom lengths or on extra-large spools which may better suit large applications.

Custom sized (and fabricated) preformed packing rings made from Marigold 5000I can also be arranged by speaking with your local AG.
