AG offers a specialised grade of EPDM rubber designed for use in applications sealing potable drinking water. This high quality grade of EPDM rubber for potable water applications is manufactured from 100% EPDM synthetic polymer and meets the requirements of Australian Standard AS4020 for use with Potable Drinking Water. It also shows very good resistance to degradation from hot water and high pressure steam, excellent resistance to adhering, weather, UV and Ozone and excellent electrical properties.
EPDM Rubber for Potable Water is black in colour and offers resistance to a wide variety of corrosive chemicals and most inorganic chemical products. It is not recommended for use with oils or hydrocarbons and has limited resistance to oxidant acids. With a standard hardness of 70 (±5) Shore A, AG’s Potable Water EPDM is black in colour and utilised in environments between -40ºC and 120ºC.
