AG’s DMD is a low cost flexible electrical insulation material consisting of a layer of polyester film sandwiched between two layers of non-woven polyester fibre mat and laminated with a high temperature adhesive. This economical product displays good mechanical strength, excellent dielectric performance and is resistant to moisture and a range of chemicals.

Typically used for slot, phase or liner insulation in electric motors as well as layer and barrier insulation in dry type transformers, our standard grade of DMD withstands temperatures of 155ºC.

This material is white(ish) in colour and stocked by AG in thicknesses that range from 0.15mm to 0.38mm (standard size listing below). Full rolls of our DMD insulation are 1000mm wide x 50Mtrs long though we also offer this material by the metre and in either slit or cut component form.
