3M 92 Adhesive Polyimide Film Tape is a high quality electrical insulation tape which combines a thin (0.076mm) overall construction with excellent electrical insulation performance.

3M 92 Electrical Tape is manufactured from a combination of a 0.025mm thick polyimide Kapton™ backing layer and a thermosetting silicone adhesive. This tape is UL recognised for Flame Retardancy, has good tensile strength, and is able to be used in 180ºC (Class H) electrical applications.

As it’s produced by 3M, you can rely on 3M 92 Adhesive Polyimide Film Tape to adhere, insulate, last and not snap as its pulled from the roll.

This insulation tape is primarily employed for the wrapping of coils, transformers, capacitors and wire harnesses as well as other electrical applications which require its combination of high dielectric strength and temperature resistance. It has also been employed in printed circuit board assemblies as a wave solder masking tape.
