Marigold 8000T-SC Packing is a premium grade packing manufactured from 100% genuine GFO® fibre (manufactured by Gore®) filament. This high quality yarn is made from finely ground particles of graphite which have been encapsulated in a Teflon® matrix to eliminate migration.
In addition to the components described above, Marigold 8000T-SC also features a highly resilient silicone rubber core which enhances compression recovery and assists with packing to stern contact. This leads to Marigold 8000T-SC Packing being a popular choice for high performance centrifugal, rotary and reciprocating pumps, high pressure valves or environments with worn or deflecting shafts.
This premium quality packing it used in valve and pump applications which operate at high pressures. Offering a combination of low friction, long service life and excellent chemical resistance (used with media across the full, 0-14, pH scale), Marigold 8000T-SC is used in 124 BAR Valves and 20 BAR Pumps. It has a shaft speed rating of 20 MPS.
Due to the quality of materials in its construction, Marigold 8000T-SC Packing is able to offer the benefit of the excellent heat dissipation qualities of graphite together with the unparalleled chemical resistance of Teflon®.
This packing is utilised in applications with temperature ratings as high as 290ºC.

Marigold 8000T-SC Packing is available from AG in sizes ranging from 3.2mm² to 25.4mm² as standard.

Both feature the same basic materials (without the silicone core) with the primary difference between the two being the addition of Kevlar® corners to the 8000T-K for additional abrasion resistance.
