Designed specifically for solar cables with a heavy insulation sheath, our Weicon Wire Stripper No. 7 Solar is fast, simple and incredibly accurate. This special tool is used with all common solar cables with a cross-section between 1.5mm² and 6mm² (16 – 8 AWG). It can be easily programmed to strip between 8mm (5/16”) and 24mm (1”) from the cable end and has 5 steps in between these two extremes for precision stripping.

One of the No. 7 solar cable strippers main benefits is the fact it automatically adjusts to the diameter of cable you are working with. This means that once you’ve set the length you want to strip back, there’s no need for further adjustment. Working across different gauges of solar cable, anywhere from 1.5mm² to 6mm², is therefore simple and easy.

Manufactured in Germany from premium grade materials, our Weicon Wire Stripper No. 7 Solar is produced from fibreglass reinforced polyamide resin. The cutting blades are made from the highest grade steel produced in Solingen, Germany and are extremely sharp, durable and effective.

In addition to the main stripping function, this versatile automatic solar cable stripper also features an easily accessible, integrated side cutter near the trigger. This cutter can easily cut cables up to 3mm Ø and makes it possible to cut and strip with just the one tool.
