Repair Stick Stainless Steel is designed especially for the non-corroding repair and reconditioning of stainless steel and other rust-proof metals. It is commonly used for repairs to:
- Tanks and vessels
- Filling machines and packing machines
- Pipes and tubes
- Pumps and pump housings
Weicon Repair Stick Stainless Steel exhibits excellent compatibility with a wide range of metals (including brass, cast iron, aluminium and, of course, stainless steel) and is also used on hard plastics, wood, fibre reinforced materials, glass, ceramics, stone and many plastics.
Due to their unique design, Weicon Repair Sticks are incredibly easy to use. They ship in sturdy, plastic tubes and that are easily opened and resealed. One part of this two part product surrounds the other so the procedure is as simple cutting off the desired amount, kneading it and using. Prior to this surfaces should be clean and dry (we suggest Weicon Cleaner S or Plastic Cleaner for this task) whilst smooth surfaces should be slightly roughened to assist with adhesion.
Manufactured from epoxy resin and stainless steel fillers, Weicon Repair Stick Stainless Steel is grey in colour (after curing) and is capable of bearing mechanical loads quickly (around 60 minutes after application, depending on cure conditions) which minimises costly downtime.
Weicon Repair Stick Stainless Steel cures with very little shrinkage and is used for covering gaps of up to 15mm. Once fully cured, Weicon Repair Stick Plastic withstands temperatures between -50ºC and 120ºC. This grade has also been tested in accordance with NSF (non-food compounds registration program) standards.
