Weicon Freeze Spray is a versatile inspection aid that quickly chills parts and components down to -45ºC. This high quality spray can be used for extremely targeted chilling which allows for highly accurate fault-finding in electronics and other industrial and technical applications.
Weicon Freeze Spray is non-conductive and neutral on materials (with the exception of plastics). The spray is almost odourless when used and leaves behind no residue.
Potential applications for Weicon Freeze Spray include:
- Metal assembly pieces such as bushes, chain links, shafts and ball bearings can be chilled to make tight fitting easier.
- Thermal overload faults in electrical circuits can be easily identified through local freezing.
- Maintenance work and field repairs can be made easier, safer and faster (e.g. Weicon Freeze Spray can be used for cooling engine components).
Weicon Freeze Spray is available from Associated Gaskets in 400ml aerosol cans.
Though easy to use, there are a number of safety issues to be aware of before attempting to use Weicon Freeze Spray. These include the need to avoid contact with the skin (danger of hypothermia) and ensure that there has been a chance for proper aeration of any electrical devices to that Freeze Spray has been applied to before they are turned on again (needed to avoid possible deflagration of gas nests by spark discharge).
Once these and the other points covered on the SDS have been accounted for (which we strongly recommend users familiarise themselves with prior to use) Weicon Freeze Spray should be applied by holding the can strictly upright and spraying in short intervals to achieve the desired cooling effect. Do not shake can prior to use.
