Weicon Fast-Bond Elastic Adhesive is a one-component, fast curing manufactured from a polyurethane base. This extremely versatile adhesive is fast and simple to use and bonds well to almost all surfaces and materials. In addition, Weicon Fast-Bond Elastic Adhesive is weathering and aging resistant and suitable for use either indoors or outdoors.
Weicon Fast-Bond Elastic Adhesive has a pasty consistency that allows for even and accurate application. This adhesive is also gap-levelling and is free of silicone and solvents, overpaintable, non-shrinking and has a neutral odour when curing.
Fast-Bond is ideal for bonding a wide variety of different materials and surfaces, including: MDF or wood, ceramic, concrete, plaster boards, marble, natural or artificial stone, metals, expanded foams (e.g. polystyrene) and a number of plastics (exlcuding PE, PP and PTFE).
Typical Applications
Because of its all-round versatility, fast cure time and excellent material compatibility, Weicon Fast-Bond Elastic Adhesive is used in a wide variety of applications. These include:
- Bonding of skirting boards and corner clips
- Fixing of stairs
- Gluing of windows and door cases*
- Mounting of hand rails
- Fixing of insulating materials (e.g. boards and batts)
- Bonding of metal thresholds
- Fastening of cable conduits to walls or floors
- Fixing of cable or tube clips
- Fixing or metal frames
- Bonding of pegs inside walls
*Weicon Fast-Bond Elastic Adhesive is capable of water-proof gluing according to DIN EN 204 D4.

Available Sizes
Weicon Fast-Bond Elastic Adhesive is available in 310ml cartridges from Associated Gaskets. These can be dispensed using standard cartridge guns.
Minimum shelf life for unopened Fast-Bond containers is 12 months assuming they are stored in normal climate conditions (around 23ºC and 50% relative humidity).
Surface Preparation
Before applying Fast-Bond it is critical to ensure that the surfaces being bonded are clean and grease-free. Many surface contaminants (such as oil, dust and dirt) can be removed with Weicon Surface Cleaner. For heavily soiled surfaces Weicon Cleaner S may be more suitable. If paint or adhesive residues must be removed, Weicon Sealant and Adhesive Remover Spray is likely an option.
