A one-part, cold curing adhesive with a medium cure time and viscosity (120-200 mPa·s). This high quality adhesive is typically used for the bonding of metals in applications where a slight realignment of the parts (immediately after application of the adhesive) may be required.

Weicon Contact Adhesive VM 120 is a clear liquid and is used in applications where temperatures range from -50ºC and 80ºC (with short-term spikes up to 100ºC). This grade is used for covering gaps no larger than 0.15mm and achieves initial adhesion on aluminium in around 50-70 seconds. Final strength is achieved after 24 hours.

Part of the Methyl ester based group of Weicon Contact Adhesives, VM 120 has a small molecule structure with closely position anchoring points which results in it exhibiting a very low amount of flexibility after curing. It is particularly suited for bonding metal-to-metal combinations.

Available Sizes

Weicon Contact Adhesive VM 120 is available from AG in 30gm, 60gm and 500gm packs. The 30gm and 60gm varieties both make use of Weicon’s proprietary pen system that allows for incredibly accurate, easy application, clean processing and improved dosing.

Surface Preparation

To ensure a strong bond, surfaces being joined should be clean and dry (Weicon Cleaner S is ideal for cleaning and degreasing surfaces ahead of bonding). When bonding smooth surfaces it may be necessary to mechanically roughen them prior to application of the adhesive.
