AG’s SRBF-N (Fabric Bakelite) Rod is produced from layers of woven cloth laminated with a phenolic resin. The result is a tough and highly economical product which offers outstanding mechanical strength, excellent machinability and solid electrical properties. Sometimes known as fabric Bakelite, AG carries SRBF Rod in an enormous range of sizes. These range from 10mm Ø through to 130mm Ø and are all available in our standard length of 1000mm.

SRBF Rods are typically used in low voltage electrical/mechanical applications and are capable of withstanding prolonged exposure to 125ºC. As a low cost insulation material with excellent machinability, SRBF rods are a good raw material from which to fashion wear plates, insulating pads, insulating bushes, gears, rollers, saw guides, pulleys and conveyor wheels.
