Refrasil blanket / batt is a high temperature insulation material capable of long lasting insulation performance in the most demanding of environments. Our RB1800 grade is manufactured from 100% silica fibre and is capable on continuous insulation performance in applications up to 980ºC (with a melting point of 1700ºC).

Refrasil RB1800 blanket is completely free of temperature limiting binders which means that its temperature resistance is real, not limited by burn off. This high quality material also offers outstanding chemical resistance and is non-respirable nor soluble in water which allows for it to be used in a wide range of applications.

RB1800 Refrasil blankets are available, as standard, in thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 25mm with others able to be produced upon request. AG is highly experienced in fabricating this excellent thermal insulation material and can offer it slit, cut or incorporated into a fully customised solution with other materials.
