Moulding micanite sheet is a class B (130ºC) insulation material made from mica splittings with a partially cured shellac binder. When this material is exposed to prolonged periods of high temperatures it can be moulded and formed; once cooled, Moulding Mica sheet maintains its moulded shape. Moulding Mica sheet is often used for the manufacture of electrical insulating components.

AG carries stock of Moulding Mica Sheet in thicknesses ranging 0.25mm to 1.5mm; Sheet size of Moulding Mica is generally 1050mm X 780mm. Additionally, we are also able to supply moulded parts to suit the specific sizes of a given application which may present a significant cost saving in situations where repeat repair/manufacture jobs are likely.
