AG’s EPDM Nylon Insertion Rubber is manufactured from premium 100% EPDM polymer reinforced with a single ply of high strength Nylon Monofilament. This material displays the excellent UV and weathering resistance that is synonymous with EPDM along with additional tear strength and dimensional stability which are drawn from the Nylon insertion. As a result, the material is commonly used for gaskets and seals, pads and strips, irrigation water stops. conveyor skirting and curtains plus many more applications.
Utilised in applications with continuous temperature between -30ºC and 110ºC, EPDM Nylon Insertion Rubber has good resistance to a acids and alkalis but should not be used with oils or hydrocarbons. Available in sizes ranging from 1.5mm through to 6mm thick (70 ±5 Shore A) as standard, this material is black in colour and available by the roll, metre, custom slit strips or in fabricated component form.
