Alapin is a high quality, high pressure, general purpose gasket material offered exclusively by AG for a wide range of applications. This economical grade of material is manufactured from a specialised blend of aramid and mineral fibre with an NBR binder. It is widely used in applications where temperatures range up to 340ºC (255ºC for steam, exact maximum temperature depends on application conditions, pressure and medium).
Green in colour, Alapin has a non-stick coating which assists with flange dismantling and disassembly. This material is used with water, steam, oils, gases, hydrocarbons, lubricants, fuels, alcohols and moderate organic and inorganic acids and meets the requirements of DuPont specification G-81 UDT and BS7531 (Grade X).
Alapin Gasket Material is available from AG in standard sheets of either 3100mm / 1550mm or 1550mm². Thicknesses range from 0.8mm through to an extra thick 5mm, though others can be produced upon request. Standard table gaskets, custom and segmented gaskets for extra-large flanges can all be readily produced by AG to suit the exact needs of your application.
Our extensive fabrication facilities allow us to produce these on very short lead times with minimal setup and no minimum order quantity whilst our experienced staff stand ready to assist with determining the best solution for your individual requirements.
