EPDM Rubber for Drinking Water Service

When it comes to sealing potable drinking water, the importance of reliability, safety, and quality cannot be overstated. Choosing the right materials for such applications is paramount to ensure the integrity of the water supply.

If a rubber gasket or seal is what’s required: a popular selection is our EPDM Rubber for Potable Water.

Manufactured from 100% EPDM synthetic polymer, this high-quality rubber surpasses industry standards, offering exceptional performance and peace of mind.

Meets Stringent Standards

AG’s EPDM rubber for potable water applications is meticulously engineered to adhere to the stringent requirements of the Australian Standard AS4020 for use with Potable Drinking Water.

With this certification, you can trust that AG’s EPDM rubber provides a safe and reliable solution for sealing drinking water systems.

Quality EPDM for Lasting Performance

One of the standout features of AG’s Potable Water EPDM is its exceptional resistance to degradation from hot water and high-pressure steam.

This resilience ensures longevity and reliability even in demanding environments. Furthermore, its resistance to adhering, weather, UV, and ozone makes it a durable choice for long-term use, safeguarding against deterioration caused by environmental factors.

This combination fo features and characteristics makes EPDM a strong choice for applications that require a lasting rubber gasket or seal for potable water.

Our standard EPDM Rubber for Potable Water has a shore hardness of 70 Duro (Shore A).

Should you need to glue it, please do reach out to us. Though EPDM can be a bit tricky, we do have options available.

Chemical Resistance

AG’s Potable Water EPDM offers impressive resistance to a wide range of corrosive chemicals and most inorganic chemical products. This chemical resistance ensures the rubber remains robust and unaffected, even in harsh water conditions.

However, it is important to note that it is not recommended for use with oils or hydrocarbons and has limited resistance to oxidant acids.

Temperature Resistance

This quality EPDM Rubber sheet is able to withstand continuous exposure to temperatures between -40°C and +120°C.

EPDM exhibits good resistance to hot cold cycling for long lasting seal performance.
