Weicon VA 250 Black is a one-part, cold curing adhesive. This grade is characterised by its high viscosity (2000-3000 mPa·s) and extended cure time, which together allow for easy and accurate application to difficult areas. VA 250 Black also exhibits excellent peel and shock resistance combined with residual elasticity which makes it ideal for use in environments likely to experience ongoing shifts in humidity and temperature.
Weicon Contact Adhesive VA 250 Black is black in colour and used for covering gaps no larger than 0.2mm. Being rubber filled, it is ideal for bonding a variety of rubber materials (including solid elastomers and cellular rubber) as well as metal and plastic.
Part of the Ethyl Ester group of Weicon Contact Adhesives, Weicon VA 250 Black Adhesive is used in applications where temperatures fall between -50ºC and 135ºC. Like all Weicon Contact Adhesives, VA 250 polymerises by reacting with moisture on both the bonding surface and from the air before curing under light pressure.
If used for bonding plastics with particularly adhesive averse surfaces (e.g. polyolefines, PTFE) the surface should be pre-treated with Weicon Contact Adhesive Primer. Failure to do so will mean that the Contact Adhesive cannot anchor itself to the plastic and a strong bond will be unable to form. It is suggested that users familiarise themselves with the TDS for this product before use.
Weicon Contact Adhesive VA 250 Black is available from AG in 12gm, 30gm, 60gm and 500gm packs. The 12gm, 30gm and 60gm varieties all make use of Weicon’s proprietary pen system that allows for incredibly accurate, easy application, clean processing and improved dosing.
