AG’s Transformer Board is a high quality pressboard that has been engineered to meet the specific requirements of transformer manufacturers and repairers. This highly economical grade of rigid electrical insulation is manufactured in accordance with a number of international standards (including IEC 60641-3-1: 1992 Type B.3.1 and DIN 7733 Type PSP 3052) and is a 105ºC rated (Class A) electrical insulation material.
Transformer Board exhibits outstanding physical and mechanical strength and good electrical insulation characteristics. Typical applications for this rigid insulation material include:
- Phase barriers
- Step blocks
- Washers
- Discs
- Blocks
- Rings
- Clamping platers
- Coil supports
- Collars
- Radial spaces and key strips
All of these can be provided by AG fabricated to your specific dimensional requirements.
Available Sizes
In addition to the aforementioned styles of fabricated components, AG also offers sheets of Transformer Board. Available thicknesses range from 1mm to 25mm thick with all available in a number of different sizes (standard is either 3200mm / 2100mm or 3000mm / 1800mm) to match your operation. We carry large stocks of all of our standard sizes as well as a number of custom thicknesses and sheet sizes which are available upon request.
