AG’s standard grade of Silicone Rubber is a red, premium quality elastomer that combines high temperature resistance with excellent elasticity and sealability. Used with a wide range of chemicals, Silicone Rubber also exhibits excellent electrical insulation properties and resistance to UV and weathering.
Red Silicone Rubber is typically used in applications where continuous temperatures are between -60ºC and 220ºC (with short-term spikes up to 260ºC) and has a minimum elongation of 175%. Our standard grade of Red Silicone Rubber has a durometer hardness of 60 (±5) Shore A though a number of other hardnesses are available upon request.
Red Silicone Rubber is available from AG in thicknesses ranging from 0.8mm to 12.7mm (for roll stock, some sheet stock is available up to 19mm thick) and can also be supplied layered if a thicker material is required.
AG offers this premium grade of rubber by the roll, metre or in fully fabricated form. Precisely cut gaskets, bonded, layered or slit silicone rubber rolls can all be produced quickly by our experienced fabrication team to meet the precise needs of your application. We also offer a number of pre-fabricated components made from this high quality material, including: O Rings, Lip Seals, Extrusions and fully moulded silicone components.
In addition to this standard grade, AG offers a number of different styles and grades of silicone rubber. For more information on these styles (including grey, 40 duro and our translucent FDA compliant silicone rubber) please do not hesitate to contact your local AG branch.
