LevelWrap Self-Fusing Silicone Tape is a high quality silicone rubber tape with a triangular cross section that provides a smooth surface finish. This tape is produced from a cured, specially formulated, self-fusing silicone rubber and supplied with an interleave to prevent premature bonding of the layers.
LevelWrap Self-Fusing Silicone Tape has tapered edges and a coloured line along its apex which acts as a guide for subsequent wraps so that a uniformly thick layer is achieved.
Utilised in applications between -54ºC and 260ºC, LevelWrap® tapes can be used to form an irreversible bonded insulating layer that is resistant to moisture, corona, oxygen and ozone. These highly conformable tapes can be applied smoothly to complex forms and will bond to themselves (at room temperature) within 24 hours. They remain non-tacky to the touch and will not adhere to other surfaces or substrates.
LevelWrap tapes are used for a wide range of electrical, mechanical and protective applications. These include the protection of coils from vibration, the insulation of armature and interpole coils in large motors, harnessing and wire bundling, the insulating of coil leads, bus bar connections and motor connections and the insulation of heated transfer lines.
