AG’s Ceramic Insulation Tape with Fibreglass reinforcement is a high performance tape designed for high temperature environments. This tape is manufactured from high purity ceramic fibres with fibreglass reinforcement for additional strength and can handle applications with continuous operating temperatures up to 800ºC.
Because of its good electrical insulation strength, Ceramic Insulation Tape with Fibreglass is often used in high temperature electrical applications. It also offers excellent chemical resistance and is highly resistant to thermal shock and breakdown because of stress or vibration. This woven tape will resist oxidation and reduction if wet by either water or steam as both its physical and thermal properties are restored upon drying.
Typical Applications
- Fire protection for hoses
- Cable and wire insulation
- Fuel line insulation
- Hose and pipe insulation
- Furnace heat zone separators
- Boiler tadpole gaskets
- Gap filling applications
Available sizes
AG stocks Ceramic Insulation Tape with Fibreglass reinforcement in widths from 20mm up to 120mm wide. Thicknesses available are 3mm and 5mm. The standard roll length of each is 30 metres long. An adhesive backing can also be applied to the tape for easy installation, especially on vertical surfaces.
AG also offers Ceramic Insulation tape with a Nickle Chrome reinforcement that improves the tensile strength of the tape at high temperatures. For more information, please contact your local AG branch or sales representative.
