3M 70 Self Fusing Silicone Electrical Tape is a high temperature resistant insulation tape manufactured from self-fusing, inorganic silicone rubber. One side of this tape then has an easy-release liner applied to stop the tape fusing and make installation hassle free.
3M 70 Self Fusing Silicone Electrical Tape exhibits excellent arc, track and ozone resistance, high dielectric strength and excellent conformability. The high temperature resistance of the silicone rubber also ensures that this premium quality tape can be used in 180ºC (Class H) electrical applications.
0.3mm thick, 3M 70 Self Fusing Silicone Electrical Tape is grey in colour and is typically used as an overwrap protection for the terminations of high voltage cables, as a splice overwrap on spacer cable operating at 15kV and above or as primary insulation in high temperature applications (such as on silicone rubber cables).
Featuring instantaneous fusion (does not need to be held down) and can be applied at extremely low temperatures. This makes 3M 70 Self Fusing Silicone Electrical Tape very easy to use and apply. Once it has been applied, the quality that 3M is known for ensures that this tape offers very long lasting performance.
