This grade of adhesive has a low viscosity and is a colourless, clear liquid.

VA 20 is a one-part, cold curing adhesive designed for the fast bonding of rubber and plastics as well as close-fitting metal/plastic bonds. VA 20 Contact Cyanoacrylate Adhesive has a low viscosity (<20 mPa·s) and is a colourless, clear liquid. This adhesive has a maximum gap coverage rating of 0.1mm.

Part of the Ethyl Ester group of Weicon Contact Adhesives, Weicon VA 20 Adhesive is used in applications where temperatures fall between -50ºC and 80ºC (with short-term spikes up to 100ºC).  Like all Weicon Contact Adhesives, VA 20 polymerises by reacting with moisture on both the bonding surface and from the air before curing under light pressure.

If using Weicon VA 20 Contact Adhesive to bond plastics that have a natural adhesive averse surface (e.g. polyethylene, polyacetal, PTFE) the plastics surface should be pre-treated with Weicon Contact Adhesive Primer. Failure to do so will means that the Contact Adhesive cannot anchor itself to the plastic and a strong bond will be unable to form. It is suggested that users familiarise themselves with the TDS for this product before use.

Weicon VA 20 Contact Adhesive is available from AG in 12gm, 30gm, 60gm and 500gm packs. The 3 smaller sizes make use of Weicon’s proprietary pen system which allows for incredibly accurate, easy application, clean processing and improved dosing. The 500gm is supplied in a tube.
