Weicon Electro Contact Cleaner Spray is a highly effective cleaner and degreaser used on all kinds of electrical contacts. Fast and efficient, this easy to use spray removes oxide and sulphide layers, combustion residues and resinous or sooty deposits from parts and effectively reduces voltage loss whilst increasing electrical conductivity.

Manufactured from high purity solvents, Weicon Electro Contact Cleaner Spray is colourless. It is often used on measuring instruments, balancers, switches, sensors as well as all kinds of electrical machines, connections, contacts and relays where it effectively works to remove contaminants that can cause tracking current.

This high quality spray evaporates quickly and does not leave any residue. It should not be used on connected electrical devices or instruments.

Weicon Electro Contact Cleaner Spray is available from AG in 400ml aerosols. We also offer a highly economical liquid version of this product.

Application

Ensure the device is completely powered down and wait for a few minutes to ensure no electronic charge remains. Spray a sufficient quantity of Weicon Electro Contact Cleaner Spray onto the parts that are being cleaned from a distance of about 25-30cm. If necessary wipe off with a clean, dry cloth. Wiping or brushing only enhances the cleaning effect and may accelerate the process.

For heavily soiled parts this process may need to be repeated.

Once cleaning is complete ensure that sufficient time is allowed for the active substance to completely evaporate. Electro Contact Cleaner does evaporate very quickly but the time take varies depending on environmental conditions so a visual inspection should be conducted before the device is powered on.
