Weicon Adhesive Spray – For Detachable Joints is a high quality grade of adhesive spray with excellent versatility. This adhesive can be used on a variety of different, lightweight materials and can also be used to create permanent bonds when desired (more info on this under Processing).
Colourless, Weicon Adhesive Spray – For Detachable Joints does not strike through surfaces nor leave a wavy finish. This adhesive is typically used for bonding materials such as paper, cardboard or foils but can also be used on certain types of closed cell foams and plastics.
Weicon Adhesive Spray – For Detachable Joints is based on synthetic rubber and has an evaporation time of 5 to 15 minutes (maximum work time is 60 minutes). Once cured this adhesive withstands temperatures between -20ºC and 65ºC.
A very economical adhesive, a single can of Weicon Adhesive Spray – For Detachable Joints can cover up to 13mtrs² when applied in the thin layers needed for creating detachable bonds.
Weicon Adhesive Spray – For Detachable Joints is available from Associated Gaskets in 500ml aerosol cans.
In addition to this grade AG is also pleased to offer the following two related products from this high quality German manufacturer:
Before use, ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of grease. Shake the can of Weicon Adhesive Spray and spray on one surface from a distance of between 15cm – 30cm.
Apply just a single, thin layer if you want this joint to be able to be detached later.
If you are looking to create a more permanent bond, apply a significantly thicker layer to a single material or, preferably, apply the spray adhesive to both of the surfaces being bonded.
Depending on surfaces characteristics and ambient temperature the spray should be allowed to dry for between 10 minutes or until the adhesive is no longer stringy. Once this is done position the parts and join them with strong pressure.
Please note that these are general guidelines only and do not take into account all potential factors present in a specific application. It is strongly suggested that potential users familiarise themselves with the SDS for this product prior to use.
