RTV 6700 Series Silicone is a neutral cure adhesive sealant which will cure at ambient temperatures into a soft but robust and resilient silicone rubber. This silicone has a paste like consistency (and a low extrusion rate of 175gm / min.) which allows for accurate application to precise surfaces whether they be horizontal, vertical or overhead. RTV 6700 also has a long work life to allow for tooling of finished assemblies.
RTV 6700 Silicone emits minimal odour during the curing process and is non-corrosive to most substrates. The cured silicone has excellent electrical insulation properties and outstanding resistance to UV, weather and a range of chemicals. They are used in applications where continuous temperatures range from -60ºC to 205ºC.
RTV 6700 Series Silicones are typically used for the joining of metals and plastics, for bonding and sealing concrete and masonry surfaces and for the general purpose electrical applications. The slow extrusion rate also makes them ideal for the creation of accurate formed in places gaskets for components with narrow or intricate flange facings.
AG offers our RTV 6700 Series Silicones in both White and Clear colours in 315gm cartridge form. For more information on these, or any other silicone in our comprehensive range, please contact your local AG branch.
