Braided from texturised, pre-shrunk, high-purity silica fibres, Refrasil Rope is a dimensionally controlled, high-density insulation material used in environments where continuous temperatures reach 982ºC. This high quality grade of thermal rope provides outstanding thermal properties and long lasting performance in demanding applications.

The premium quality silica insulation rope exhibits outstanding resistance to attack from a wide variety of chemicals and has been specially treated with a hydrocarbon finish to increase ease of handling and abrasion resistance. This extra treatment makes Refrasil Rope easy to install whilst the fact that it is silica based means that it presents none of the skin irritation issues that can be experienced with some fibreglass based insulation materials.

Refrasil Rope is commonly used for the sealing of oven doors, the construction of high temperature gaskets and expansion joints or for the lagging of pipes and other high temperature installations.
